With an Unmanaged VPS, you or your IT provider administer Windows, users, updates, applications and security. Managed VPS adds Technolutions monitoring, threat protection, alerts and server-management tooling. Line of Business plans provide the highest resource tiers with managed responsibility for important business systems.

The free trial is available only on the U2 Unmanaged VPS. It includes the same U2 resources, but you remain responsible for administering the Windows server and the applications you install.

Move from your current platform to any Technolutions VPS package at no migration cost, with no VPS hosting charges during the calendar month you move. Normal VPS hosting charges begin the following calendar month. This is a calendar-month offer, not 30 free days. The offer applies to Unmanaged, Managed and Line of Business VPS packages.

The U2 trial and migration offer are separate. Switch to a paid package and migrate during your trial or afterwards, and that calendar month's VPS hosting is free. The free month is based on when you switch and migrate, not when you started the trial. Start your trial in August and switch and migrate in August: August is free. Switch and migrate in September instead: September is free. An expired trial is not extended while you decide.

No payment details are required. Your 14-day trial starts when the VPS is provisioned. If you have not switched to a paid package when the trial ends, access is paused. If you decide not to continue, the trial service is terminated. If you switch to a paid package and migrate, your migration calendar month is free. If you continue without a migration, the normal monthly price becomes payable on day 15.

No payment is due today for the U2 trial. If you are migrating from your current platform, migration is free and Technolutions VPS hosting charges are waived for the calendar month you move; normal hosting charges start the following month. For a new server without a migration, standard month-end billing applies, or day-15 billing if you continue from the U2 trial. Online payments are processed through PayFast.

You are taken to the Technolutions billing portal to confirm the server setup and your account details. The order summary shows the package and amount before you submit the order.

Your account, invoices, payment history, services and support tickets are managed through billing.technolutions.cloud.

Submit a cancellation request from the relevant service in the billing portal. The billing team will confirm the effective date and any outstanding account requirements.

Once the order is confirmed, allow up to two hours for the VPS to be prepared. The U2 trial period starts only after the trial VPS has been provisioned.

Enter a full hostname such as vps1.yourdomain.co.za. It identifies the server and includes both a server name and your domain name.

Enter only the first part of each nameserver name, normally ns1 and ns2. Do not enter the full domain in these fields.

Use a strong, unique administrator password with a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. You will use it when connecting to the Windows server through Remote Desktop.

The VPS infrastructure is hosted in Cape Town, South Africa. The packages are offered with 99.9% uptime and use clustered server infrastructure.

Backup capacity is listed with each package and generally matches that package's storage allowance. The exact storage and backup capacity remains visible on the package details page before checkout.

Managed packages include monitoring, alerts and protection against malware and suspicious activity. Technolutions uses remote monitoring and management tools together with SentinelOne endpoint detection and response to provide these services.

A VPN firewall is available on request or included with agents where the individual package states this. Check the package details or confirm the requirement with sales before ordering.
